www.GostudentGo.com provides you with an online method of communication with like minded people of your choice. There are six distinct methods of networking to meet your networking styles based on students preferred methods of communication. Below is a description of the six key methods of networking:
1. Search Tool
The first and simplest way to Network. Do a search!
Find colleagues via the 3 main search fields: Location Finder, Institution Listing, or Subject Locator.
There are additional search fields covering general characteristics allowing you to narrow your searches to fit languages spoken, interests, ages….and many more preferences.
2. Forums
With institutions tailing more for the commercial market the variety of subject focused courses is wider than ever before. This resulting specialized education can make it harder to pool people into just several categories.
GOstudentGO has found a clear solution to this via a structured forums area, which member can add to their specialized areas. If you feel your area is not being covered drop an email in the feedback section and we will add it to your forum area if appropriate.
3. Instant Chat
Instant Chat enables members to chat instantly to other Networking Members who are currently online. The converse of Forums has been set up. Chat rooms are listed and kept to a minimum to encourage more people to collectively chat together that may not normally do so…..we here to help you build bridges.
4. Private email and Communication Centre
Private email allows member to send and receive email, just like you own private email, the difference being that all mail is centred on GOstudentGO. You can access your mail from your Control Panel or from the Communication Centre where you have the access to see a suite of networking tools to help you build bridges with new contacts.
5. Blogs
Blog sites are a common place on the net these days, our inbuilt Blog Tool is designed to encourage you to create a mini web page within the GOstudentGO. It allows you to show off your abilities, tell people about yourself or just put a collection of your own thoughts down. You can make these public or private, its up to you how action your Blog.
6. Travel Itinerary
With gap years, semester breaks students are taking more time off to travel and widen their horizons. The Travel feature allows you to post your future travel plans. Our unique approach allows members to search via location and dates enabling potential networking while on travel…a couple of friends can end up a group of people – be where the right people are!
Additional features exist and are constantly being added too. A new feature is My Gallery which allows Networking Members to create Categories and Albums to upload files, such as photos, to share with members. We are continually looking to create new networking tools on the site, if you have a preference or tool you wish enhanced please write back to us via Feedback.
